Stan Talbi

Former CRO, MetLife

Stan Talbi is the Former EVP and Chief Risk Officer of MetLife, having served at the company for over 40 years and as a senior manager of multiple business divisions. Stan served as EVP and Chief Risk Officer from 2012-2017, where he led a team of 240 associates to identify, quantify, and manage enterprise risk. In this role, responsibilities included regional risk management, corporate risk management, economic capital measurement, and pricing and valuation oversight for MetLife’s products.

Previously, from 2006-2012, Stan served as EVP of Financial Management of Oversight, where he led a team of 300 individuals responsible for corporate actuarial functions, reinsurance, pricing oversight, ALM, and actuarial analysis. From 2004-2005, he served as SVP of Business Finance, and from 2003-2004, he served as the company’s SVP and Chief Financial Officer for the U.S. Insurance and Financial Services business. Stan joined MetLife in 1974 where he initially served as an actuary.

He has a B.A. in Mathematics from Queen’s College, New York, class of 1974.
