Ibexis was founded early in 2007 by Dr John Argirakis and Andy Jones.

Recognising that there is an ever increasing need for improved management and understanding of water, the environment and other scarce resources, we started work on the development of some ground breaking telemetry solutions to facilitate remote monitoring of the built and natural environments.

By late 2007 we had developed a unique and low cost integrated combination of micro power technologies that were optimised for remote monitoring applications.

In early 2008 we took Ibexis to market and have since seen our solutions being used for many different applications such as monitoring water quality, effluent discharge levels, rainfall, river level, emissions, climate and so forth.

In March 2009 we raised investment capital from Oxford Technology ECF.

Ibexis is unique in the remote monitoring industry in that we provide a complete and cost effective end-to-end remote monitoring solution that is manufacturer independent and highly customisable. Our proposition not only includes the monitoring device with inbuilt data logger and sensory electronics, but also the communications and central software that allows our customers to view, analyse and download their data.

Our customers include water companies, municipal authorities, government agencies, research institutes and commercial organisations both in the UK and overseas.
